Places in Blue Mountain Coffee Country

The peaks, villages, gardens and parishes of Jamaica's Blue Mountains, and what each has to do with the coffee.

Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee comes from a legally defined area of the Blue Mountains, spread across the parishes of St Andrew, St Thomas and Portland. This part of the guide describes the places in and around that area: the peaks that give the range its name, the villages on the roads up from Kingston, the national park and gardens higher up, and the parishes whose slopes hold the farms.

Each entry gives the location, the elevation where sources agree on one, the place's connection to coffee, and what a visitor finds there today. For the farms and coffee works themselves, see the estates directory. For planning a trip, see visiting the Blue Mountains.
